    Creating a schedule for my projects is very easy to use! Every feature is straightforward and it took me about 30 minutes to learn how to use this program. I definitely recommend Merlin!

    Merlin is indeed magical. The ProjectWizards have been supporting and improving Merlin for years. This is not a side project or one of many focuses; this is their main focus. The addition of integrated of Kanban boards is just one example of their commitment to adapting and improving. And while they've moved to a subscription model, the pricing is very reasonable from the start, less than what one mght expect for upgrade pricing. I like the fact that I can host data (my data, not theirs) locally on my computer, in my cloud space, and/or on my local server (using thier server software). Their is a ton of new cloud-based subscription competition called "project management", which is really a jumbled overpriced mess where your data is held on someone elses server, with limited portabilty, and no access if you lose or simply are not connected to the internet. That's a disaster waiting to happen if you really need project management software and use it continuously. The abiltiy to move projects to your own cloud service and later to a local server is a big reason the reason to start your projects using Merlin. Looking forward to updated mnaulas and tutorials,

    I'm a construction manager for a $5 billion a year company. We are all Primavera P6 / Oracle users trapped in a PC world. Translating from the company scheduler’s perception of construction to the skilled tradesmen managers, in the field, has to be clean and clear. By far, the greatest hurdle in managing construction is the bridging of the gap in conveying the schedule to the field and to have it executed consistently on time. Todays trades are far from unknowledgeable and with most making much higher wages than college graduates. That being said they do not have the time to drill through convoluted schedules. But, I fire up my Mac laptop and open Merlin Project. Everything changes, I import the raw P6 text data and start adding sub projects, sub activities, assigning resources, rules for individual contractors, groupings, filters, labels and styles for fonts, bars and links. It has the ability to attach all sort of documents, insert external links and generate both provided and custom reports. And I am on my way to a beautiful schedule that can be read at a glance and can show the trade exactly where they fit in the work flow. Through the years, my Merlin Project schedules have knocked the upper management and company schedulers off their feet, earning me a schedulers standing at the top. The trades have voiced that their understanding of the path through the project is clearer than ever, without that glazed-over look in their eyes. Not having to struggle with such a ridged and sterile schedule has brought life into the construction team. The schedule has now become a thriving, living part of the team and not a bland and ignored chart on the wall. Mac software has always been designed with the user in mind, Merlin Project is no different. Solid, mature, professional. The question isn't where do I start, but where do I end? A Fantastic Piece Of Software And the iPad app is 1st class. My only wish would be that they could import directly an (.xer) file from Primavera P6, the construction industry standard. 5 Big Stars

    Having used several other scheduling software, I can say that Merlin Project, with a few hours spent carefully working through tutorials, is an amazing application chock full of versatility. There are so many ways the software can be customized to one's unique situation, and unlike some of the other competing applications, Merlin Project makes this possible in a logical, user-friendly way. I appreciate how what could be a bloated application with options upon options is highly organized in a graphically pleasing manner. I'll need to spend more time using Merlin Project to give more specific feedback, but at this point, about the only major thing I feel could use improvement is the tutorial library. The tutorials could do a better job of demonstrating how to use the software through real-life applications instead of just simply stating what a button or command does...if that makes sense.
