Description

Chronicle Pro is all about eliminating financial surprises and helping you understand your spending. Here are some of the ways Chronicle saves you time and money (and reduces stress, too): - Never Forget A Bill With notifications, and upcoming bills in your menu bar and notification center, Chronicle will always keep you up-to-date. - See How Much Is OK To Spend Chronicle takes into account your monthly income, your bills, and even bills you have to set aside a little for each month (such as insurance payments, annual memberships, etc), and tells you how much money you can safely spend each month. - Plan For Expenses Forecast View shows you upcoming bills months in advance. - Know How Much To Save Amount-To-Save feature calculates how much you need to save each month for bills that repeat less often, like an annual insurance bill or car registration. - Eliminate Surprises Intelligent Estimated Amount Due feature estimates how much is due for bills that vary, like credit cards or utilities, using your payment history and the time of year. - Remove the Hassle From Paying & Keeping Track of Bills Pay bills online and log them in seconds using Chronicle's integrated browser, and keep proof of all your payments, including storing receipts. - Understand Your Spending With month-by-month payment history, and annual reports, you can break down your spending by bill or by specific tags, so you can understand where your money is going. If you pay bills, you need Chronicle. It gives you peace of mind and control of your financial future. One late payment can wreak havoc on your credit score, leading to higher interest rates and denied loans—in short, completely affecting your financial life. With Chronicle, you can make sure that never happens. Plus, Chronicle can sync with the available iOS version, so you always have your bills available wherever you go. MACWORLD gives Chronicle 4.5 out of 5 mice: "Chronicle is one of the slickest finance apps available for the Mac. It’s easy to use and easy on the eyes, and it’s worthy of a spot on anyone’s dock." You can sync Chronicle data with multiple Macs, iPhone and iPad using iCloud. I would love to love this app. It has so much going for it, but the text is so small and unable to be enlarged for those who are visually impaired. Not accessible for all users. Keep that in mind. Please allow the ability to increase font size!
  • Extremly unreliable

When used on multiple devices, the synchronizatoin often fails which leads to data loss. This app can't be trusted to pay your bills. Protect yourself and your credit score - do not install it!

It's been a run, I enjoyed this app for the years I used it, but iCloud Sync seems broken now, and I refuse to go subscription for utilitarian apps. I don't mind paying for upgrades, and it's not about money. It's about making your voice be heard though your wallet. So long Chronicle...I'm sure I'll miss you, but this is not my first rodeo switching apps due to this scenario.
  • Very Basic making it useless

Unfortunately, I can either log my monthly payment as an individual charge or lumped together as a credit card bill. The software does not let you break down each credit card into the various sub-charges. This would help keep an eye on my susbscriptions which are on my larger credit card bill. It was touted on an article of a great way to keep track of your subscriptions. Not really unless you want each list of subscription to be added to the list of charges including your crredit card which then makes the amount owed redundant.

I've been using Chronicle for years and it's almost perfect. The income side could use much improvement especially if income is not consistent (I'm self-employed 1099). Also it should have an ability to export data/reports with more customizing on reports. Cross platform is great although as an old original user, switching from the old versions with iCloud sync complicated data and I ended up deleting everyting to start over. I don't need to add in bank accounts, etc and budgeting so the simplicity is awesome.

I have this app installed on my Imac desktop (MacOS Catalina) and two macbooks with the current MacOS Monterey. Ever since upgrading the OS on my Macbooks, Cloud Sync no longer works across all my devices. I paid my bills and update using this app but my other devices failed to cloud update. because of that, I will uninstall this app from my macbooks and use this app only on one computer.
  • Does Not Open

App opens then immediately unexpectedly closes. Delete, download and Reinstall have same effect.
  • Just purchased.....

So far the app is seamless to use. What I would like to see is the ability to input a credit card balance and the APR. If I could input that information, it would be more helpful to visualize the pay off.
