  • Question

Does this app only teach me beginner stuff and songs, or does it teach me literally everything about all techniques and reading music? I’ve already been playing a while and don’t wanna subscribe unless I can learn everything I don’t know yet
  • Good lessons for beginers

    By KevinLarryStone
Good lessons for beginners. Steady pace and not too much talking which is definitely a plus.
  • Repeated episodes

    By iScottyjD
Im a beginner when comes to guitar, just started playing about a week or 2 ago and so far I find the app very useful and easy to understand; however there is one little thing that is confusing to me. I feel like a good amount of the episodes are repeated and they’re just using a different person, im not to sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be or if there’s a glitch or something. But, exclude that and you have a good app overall.
  • Need bass guitar

    By Shinchris83
The lesson plans look awesome but they don’t focus on guitars(electric and acoustic) and ukuleles. I’m a bass player and I know Fender makes electric basses as well as acoustic ones. I would like to see bass guitar lessons added into the guitar section for bass guitarist. Some of the guitar lessons work for bass but not all of the them.

This app is great, it’s enjoyable and I love it. But It’s based only on video approach as tutorial lessons. The one thing that will take this app to the next level is a game approach going side by side with the video lessons. Let’s but it in another way, this app is build only of series of video lessons, which gives you the knowledge but doesn’t train you to apply any of it. We need a practice mode that comes after each lesson which is build just like a video game that gives you specific objects that you have to meet in order to accomplish the training session. Objects that you should meet according to a specific requirements by playing your actual guitar while the app is listening and gives you feedback. It will be more efficient and so much more fun. I sincerely urge you to consider this idea. I gave 4 stars to this app, I’m saving to 5th one to the next update, if you actually add game training to it, hopefully. By the way, the teachers are very very nice and I love them all, please give them my best regards. thanks a lot.
  • Great app needs more MUSIC

I like the app great for beginners but I’d like to see some nirvana, Green Day, the Beatles, Black Sabbath Etc
  • Just some videos

    By L0KEMAN
Nothing more than videos. Does not do what other apps can. It does not listen and tell you in real time if your finger needs to move up a fret or if your C string is out of tune or if your missing a string or are muting a string and need to adjust your index finger. It doesn’t automatically adjust speed or chords based on how it hears you playing. This is just some videos and does like 1/100th of every other app out there that costs less. Half of the electric guitar videos are just acoustic videos and most work, but really break the vibe.

My name is Jon aka Kid Astronaut (@kidastronavt). I’m a huge fan of Fender guitars and am excited they’re moving into the app and education realms! This is exciting stuff! The app is awesome and really goes step by step in learning guitar.

  • Great framework with a few major complaints

    By Aoshi
So I’ve never played an instrument before. I’m a total beginner and nearly tone deaf. This app got me playing at least a couple of songs reasonably well on my new ukulele and for that I am grateful. I genuinely hope y’all will listen to feedback, though, because the problems it does have honestly warrant the low review. Three big ones: 1) During the beginning of learning to play it’ll give you the chords at the bottom of the screen in the order you’re going to play them. Great! However, sometimes it will say CGF and mean a full bar of each whereas sometimes it’ll say CCGFC where the first two C’s are a single strum and the last C is a full bar. It’s not very consistent and it makes it confusing. 2) During the final phase of learning where you play the whole song through you get no visual guidance on what chords you’re going to be playing whatsoever. I’ve just practiced playing the beginning middle and end of the song a few times through each, so it’s hard to remember all the way back to the beginning after several go arounds on the chorus or whatever. It’s so difficult I’ve had to write the songs down in my own little shorthand all the way through for me to have any hope of actually playing them. 3) This one is a small issue but it makes me so angry. So there’s one female teacher who talked for literally two minutes about how when you count down you start the song on the second beat. So 1 2 3 4 1 2(strum). Two minutes of my life practicing and reviewing this. Then the very next guy who teaches has you strum on 1 instead!!!! 1 2 3 4 strum!!! That was very very frustrating especially since she spent so much time reviewing such a simple concept.
