  • Lots of fun for a couple hundred dollars $$

The game has a smooth UI and the play style is simple but fairly entertaining. My main problem like so many of these games is the terrible value on in app purchases. Want a new character? No problem. Pay $50 and you can have ONE. Want them all? They are happy to oblige for the low price of ~$500. Don’t forget to upgrade them though, only $250 more!...

Just spent a few dollars on this game and almost immediately got screwed...it’s as if the developers planned it just to piss me off! You see, the power numbers given to every character are MEANINGLESS! They are provided to give you hope and then snatch it away! Listen to me folks, play ANY OTHER game than this one. You’ll be happy you listened! And the recent update made the game even worse.

  • Very early paywalls, difficulty ramps up fast. Greedy P2W

Been playing about three hours. After the first hour was up the game was already scaling in difficulty ahead of my party's development. At this point I can't even beat the levels to get the components I need to strengthen my party gear further. Only option is to spend or to increase regular levels, but character level is limited by account level which also comes very slowly. Additional energy refreshes require VIP levels from monetary purchases as well. Horribly monetized and exploitive game that would probably be fairly fun if it wasn't so greedy. Edit: I still play this game some here and there when bored. It’s a game I still want to like. I even tried the $10 monthly package that gives you extra premium currency every day you login. Really didn’t feel like it helped. VIP rewards for spending real money looked like they’d be promising originally, especially the energy refills. But when each energy refill in a day increases in price for premium currency, you quickly realize what a scam it is. Progress is still painfully slow, and new warlord battles are so restrictive and ridiculously tuned. You have very few heroes you can bring to them, and even if you double the enemy power level you can still get easily wrecked. Story progress is simultaneously painfully slow and also terribly unrewarding. The content variety in this game is minimal at best and developers have done nothing to beef it up aside from adding more Pay 2 Win competitions where the rewards are a tiny fraction of what you need to compete.

Lots of easy fun solo game to pass the resting moments of the day. Cupcake and Candy Mania with all their ads are permanently replaced.
  • What are the odds on opening boxes?

Pay money for gems and use the gems to open boxes that might have a new character for you. The problem is they don't tell you how likely it is to get that character. Will I need to open 100 boxes?? I see lots of players in chat complaining that they spent $20 and got no new characters.
  • Blatant money grab with a nice graphics

The game has stunning visuals and good gameplay, which gets repetitive and boring as soon as you reach Seregost stage. The game lets you progress to 50k power very quick but you have to pay your way forward. Wallet warriors claim all in game events.

This game is fantastic! It’s definitely my go to phone game and look forward for more updates to come. The only issue I’ve ran into as I’m sure others have is warlord progress isn’t being saved even though they did an update to where warlord progress would be saved. Once they fix that I’ll give it a 5 star but it is an enjoyable game nonetheless. After having played this for awhile, I have to down the number of stars I give this game. I am to the point where it is now pay to win, because the odds of you getting a new hero are near zero. This game repeatedly gives you hero glyphs you don’t need/want. It’s a very long drag unless you fork over the dough. Sad given how excited I was to play this game.
  • Fun At First...Gets Boring Quickly

Lack of quality content updates has made this game boring very quickly. It’s a more expensive and slower version of Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. And there’s no such thing as free energy....a huge hit on its rating. EA gives its players free energy every 6 hours or so. Come on, WB, step up your game. Shadow of War is for whales only. Tournaments are designed to get you to spend hundreds of dollars on pixels. So if you have nearly unlimited cash flow then this is the game for you! Mobile game developers are showing themselves to be extremely greedy. It’s a shame.
