  • Only streaming service for most of the 70s and 80s British TV I miss

*[Almost] all of classic Who, mysteries like Granada Holmes, Campion and Miss Marple, humor like Blackadder and Red Dwarf, and more. Also some fun rare extras like Five(ish) Doctors, Adventure in Space and Time, various Who specials, and if you want a laugh there's the K9 & Company pilot (at least watch the intro). I have occasional crashes, but no more than Prime. Problem goes away after reboot. Things I hope Britbox improves: *Solve whatever licensing issues are preventing BritBox from streaming a few Dalek serials: Day of, Resurrection of, Remembrance of. (At least I assume that's why those few are "unavailable." They do at least have Power of the D, animated version.) - Go back/forward 10 seconds. - Auto play from one episode to the next of a multi-part serial. - Reliably remember you stopped watching. - Make it a little easier to navigate the huge Doctor Who library. When you first click on the link to Doctor Who, it's broken down by Doctor and then grouped by serial, which is good. But after you finish an ep it lists lists each season in a long sideways scrolling list. There are some where I can remember the Doctor but not what season! - Improve the resolution, if possible; right now the quality looks about the same as not-remasted DVDs. I suspect licensing issues; the BBC may not want to permit competition for their remastered product. - Get licensed to show Blake's 7, Python and The Avengers. B7 especially; there's no region 1 dvds. -Get licensed to show The Five Doctors and the Doctor Who movie (McGann). -Get audio tracks for the Who missing episodes. It sounds like they were trying to a year ago, but I haven't seen any progress on that front.
  • Good content, needs offline mode

BritBox would be much more useful to me if I could save shows offline to watch while traveling. Please consider this feature.
  • Poor contents and difficult app

The content is the real problem. There is so much that could be available but it’s just not there. The app is awkward and not was to use. I love the idea and will re-subscribe if they fix the content and the app.

After the recent update, my watchlist is completely empty, despite me adding what I had.
  • A bit rough around the edges

Wonderful selection, worth it for me just to get access to all the old Doctor Who episodes. Streaming works fine for me, and I’ve more than gotten my money’s worth from the subscription fee. But there are some rough edges in the app. For example, in trying to catch up on classic Doctor Who, where stories may span several episodes, there is no indication in the app as to which episodes have been seen. And there’s no “binge watching” feature: in most apps that stream series, you have the option of continuing immediately to the next episode; but not here. It wouldn’t be so bad if the app repositioned the list to the episode you just saw; but no, it goes back to the beginning and you have to scroll back to where you left off. Of the two, I would most want to see some mechanism for tracking which episodes have been seen. A progress bar at the bottom of the screen shot would be nice.
  • iPhone app crashes relentlessly

Works perfectly on AppleTV, but I don’t get more than a minute or two into a program on the iPhone app before it crashes. Please update.
  • TVos app is buggy

I like the selections, but once I launch a movie, the Apple TV control device won’t work - no pause, back up, etc. it is very frustrating.
  • Buffering, buffering, buffering...

Terrible app. In the space of a half-hour show it stops to buffer at least half a dozen times and often crashes completely. Also not able to view on my Apple TV. I have to do a screen mirror. Too bad. Great shows. But the app is nearly non-functional...
  • Super buggy Apple TV app

Content offerings are decent, but the app for Apple TV is terrible. It locks up frequently while playing videos, sometimes fails to display the contents of a category, and the search isn’t indexed properly. Additionally, it doesn’t appear to use the tvOS drop down interface to choose audio options. Instead, they’ve implemented a workaround that includes a separate play button on every series’ page for a subtitled version. This is silly and not intuitive when other content provider apps make proper use of the built-in tvOS options.
