I love playing this game. The match three are just difficult enough to pass time with out feeling too easy. I’m addicted!

I love playing this game. Everytime I win, I feel like I accomplished something. However I do find it hard to stay calm after losing the same round five times, and have to wait for lives or spend my money for more... Oh well.
  • Love / Hate Relationship

Love 1. I love earning stars to improve the garden because it takes the normal “3 swap” kind of game up another level. 2. There is more of a buy-in because you are trying to reach a goal other than beating the level. 3. Storyline is entertaining enough, yet short enough to not be irritating. Hate 1. Main pet peeve. They say to sign in to Facebook so you can play across devices. This is not accurate (for me at least). I have an iPhone and a Macbook. It does not sync, and I received an email from the developer that says this isn’t a device issue. They do not sync across these two devices. Period. So if I want the bigger screen of my laptop, I have to replay any levels that I have played. So, I have pretty much abandoned by laptop version - it’s on level 65 and my phone is on level 655. It’s irritating. 2. Some of the stars needed to advance the story are a bit steep. 3. I don’t mind all the competitions because I just play when I have time. If I do well, great. If I don’t, whatever. 4. However! When you do earn free lives for X amount of time. It would be nice to bank those somehow - like a power up - rather than it automatically going into effect. It NEVER fails! I earn one when I’m playing one last game before I have to leave, go to bed, or whatever. UGH! So it goes to waste! Overall, I like this game, so I gave it a 4 star.

I used to really enjoy this game, but as of lately its PAINFUL to try to play. It feels like I’m constantly dodging ads and pop ups because of all of the unnecessary extra stuff going on…. I just want to play my levels!

Gain a star just to do a simple rhetoric process.

You would like to think the Butler is on your side. Some times, you don’t get what is supposed to happen, especilly on the higher levels. If you get three hours, it takes you three hours to pass 3 levels. That is very tiring and aggravating. If you don’t want to but the chest of coins, it still pops up all the time. even if you are playing for time.

This could be a very good and challenging game but in the last few months I am getting more and more frustrated. It won’t let me make purchases, totally glitches out and I have to constantly force quit. Left several messages for the developers and customer service. Yes, they credit my purchase, but it is still not fixed, I am tired of playing like this and contacting them. Needs to be fixed, very very annoying. It is sad that you have to buy bombs and such to move ahead, some levels are not possible to conquer without them. But what to do, if you can’t buy and game tells me your purchase will be restored for free. Yet have to force quit since it keeps freezing at that message. So annoyed!!!

Game is cute, but the resources are too expensive. It takes, on average, 12 levels to earn enough gold (900) to pay for an extension on one level, and that only gets you 5 more moves. It takes another 12 levels to earn enough gold to buy an in-level helper. So, at 900, 1200, 1800 gold to buy resources, I am very unwilling to spend real world money to buy gold. If the resources were less expensive and more helpful, I would be more willing to spend money on this game. So, I only play until I run out of lives and then I quit. Some levels are so blantantly designed to make the player fail, relying on the luck of the drop rather than the skill of the player, that I run out of lives rather quickly. Even with unlimited lives for an hour or two, I have had to try 8-10 times to beat one level. After about level 450, the game is not fun, it is just frustrating and I usually end up walking away from the game disgusted with it - which does not make me look forward to playing it again. If the developers want to make more money on this game, they should reduce the resource cost and make the resource rewards more abundant. This would allow players to have more fun, become more invested in the game, look forward to playing more often, and, ultimately, more willing to spend money to play the game. Playrix knocked it out of the park with Township, I have hopes they will adjust Gardenscapes to become just as fun.

This game is a waste of time and money. The levels are virtually impossible without spending SOMETHING for power-ups, coins…whatever “currency” the app developers decide. If you were hoping for a fun and relaxing game to pass the time that doesn’t cost a fortune for any hope of succeeding, LOOK ELSEWHERE!
