Description

Track the latest storms and other natural events worldwide with Earth++. The latest weather, fires, earthquakes, volcanos, climate changes, and marine conditions are available. Information is courtesy of a variety of open sources, as indicated in the attribution label. There is an auto-renewing subscription option within the app to remove ads, track tropical cyclones, typhoons, hurricanes and other global weather hazards, and comprehensive ocean conditions forecasts for the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Development of global storms is funded in part by ads, which can be removed by selecting the monthly auto-renewing subscription option "Premium upgrade" from the app's settings menu. Upgrading to premium also provides access to other premium content and features. The subscription price of 1.99 USD (in your local currency) will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and, for each renewal, within 24 hours prior to the end of the current month. You can cancel the subscription at any time through your iTunes account settings, but you must do so at least 24 hours before the end of the current month to avoid being charged, and ads will show again at the start of the subsequent month. This app offers a large variety of informational views of our world just at the press of a “button”. Lots of features and real-time visual stats. I do wish the poles weren’t blacked out, there was a real-time satellite view offered, and that there was a way to make the view full-screen.

I was TRYING to find a satellite app that will show Antarctica, South Pole, N. Pole without being blurred out or blacked out. It’s ok for looking at a lot of the Earth, but all the controversial places on our planet are ALL deliberately obscured so WE THE PEOPLE can’t see them! Ask yourself WHY? Admiral Bird stated that he saw openings at both poles that led into the planet’s interior. There’s a No-Fly Zone over the South Pole due to a huge opening, which Admiral Bird flew into during Operation High Jump after the war. This app & it’s paid version won’t show what I, what WE need to see.

Okay, either these bad reviews are old or people can’t figure out some very simple things without the help of a detailed tutorial. I’ve only been using this app for about 2 minutes and already it’s so good i have to review it! A little rough around the edges but so far even the ads aren’t bad. Yes they take up the whole screen but mine had an X and was easily closed and I haven’t had another one pop up yet, but since I’ve only used it for 2 minutes thus far, I can’t say how annoying they are for sure. That said, I can see MAJOR potential here and already find it incredibly useful and fast and not glitchy. The key is the layers- try the “world events observatory” layer ... update: I opened it back up to find the actual name of that layer, and, well, a little glitchy. Not loading layers quite right but it could also be my spotty Wifi. Anyway, I see GREAT potential here and am hoping the developers will continue to update because it seems super awesome if it works properly!

I get no weather, all I get is maps of different sorts. Somebody want to tell me where the weather is? All I get is layers with no climate info.
