    I probably don’t need to say much. Most people know what is happening. However, after the time I spent on this I couldn’t help but show my dissatisfaction. After uninstalling I’m enjoying more life and less stress, I guess this terrible update was meant to be. Thanks for ruining the game so badly I uninstalled. I have my life back :)

    So they ruined it….i used to love playing with all my family and kids. This was our main game and we spent lots of money. Then they brought sex and politics into the game. Men calling themselves women are trying to take our sports, pageants, jobs, and now our games. We will be transferring as many mons as we can to our switch then doing a perma account delete for our accounts on pogo. It’s too late for a “sorry” even their apology would only be rooted in not wanting to lose money…

    Played since the very beginning. I’ve tolerated Niantics refusal to properly address issues over the years and the painfully slow content updates. But the new avatars are just horrendous. Refuse to keep giving the devs a pass while they ignore us. Will be uninstalling every Niantic game on my phone.

    To start off, I love this game. I am a day one player, but I’ve for sure had some gaps in playing. Right away the research challenges were pretty fun, as they made you grind the game. As of recent, whoever Niantic hired was a big mistake, as they assumed that adding time blockers to the research challenges would encourage players to be active every day. Trust me, I am already active on this game every single day. To have some miserable corporate sucker force me to wait over fifty-four days for a shiny mythical pokemon that I don’t even care about; I salute you. You are insufferable. My only point for this review is that you should listen to your real fan base. The only active players are the high level grinders, and they don’t want to see a time block on a shiny mythical. They’re playing the game no matter what. The only people paying for the researches are the high level grinders. The only people in my friends list that I can even interact with are level 40+, aside from the random event days where I get a few random low level interactions. My suggestion is that you replace the twenty-one day time blocks with catching pokemon challenges. I’d like to be challenged to catch thousands of pokemon rather than be “challenged” to open the app twenty-one days in a row. You’re embarrassing yourself. This is still a popular game over eight years in. Don’t ruin it now.

  • Love the game BUT the recent update…

    Been playing since day one but with some break periods. Overall I love the game and I’m invested (except for GBL, ‘cause PVP is too much for me). First of all, I love the background update, backgrounds look beautiful, altho I wish they were at least as immersive as they were during trial period that I tested while in Mexico, where grass or rocks added some depth or 3D aspect, but they kept it simple. Night time backgrounds are pretty ‘cause of the lighting but they throw me off and affects the immersive experience. They always look like at dawn. In another note, avatar customization was a long overdue feature, so it was really disappointing how poorly it turned out to be. The quality of the models is the main issue, then the variety of hairstyles isn’t as great as I thought. At least some bugs that came with the update were fixed but there’s still much to do.
