  • 12 yr old son joined a band

Needed help playing cover songs...this app was perfect in showing all the chords, timing and has the video with it. It’s by far the best app for mastering is NOT for beginners. He went from practicing 15 min to 45 min...because he wants to because the app does that much.

  • It’s no Riff Station

    By Robs2558
The free version certainly has a good selection of music and the chords are mostly accurate. The interface is a bit clunky and features that were free in Riff Station are all add-on’s that you have to pay for in this app. As the mobile version of Riff Station is gone, so I guess beggars can’t be choosers.

  • Chords are sadly never accurate

    By JFF in DC
This app is a fantastic concept. However, the implementation is quite poor. Sadly it does not work well at all. If you’re looking to simply identify the key a song is written in, its fairly decent at that. Yet that’s where the usefulness ends. The chords are simply not accurate. As a keyboard player in a band, I was at first excited to find an app that could make it easier to identify the EXACT chords of a song that my band is working on. But while it can work with any song on YouTube, which is good, it’s very frustrating as the chords it identifies are typically inaccurate making this app mostly not very useful. Of course it is a free app, so I guess I can’t complain but I would pay for an app that literally nailed the exact chord patterns or at least came pretty close. This app doesn’t. For example, a song I had “Chordified” a few days ago used a diminished chord. Chordify referred to it as a Major 7, which sounds completely different. Perhaps they will improve this app one day, but until then, don’t expect great things.
