This is such a cute and fun game! However, the levels do get challenging, especially once you run out of extra bombs or lives, especially as the number of moves you are allowed to use gets lesser. It might just be because I am bad at puzzles, but I found this game extremely challenging (Currently around level 30, has been playing for about a week). Overall, a great game though!

It’s a great game and lots of fun. I like completing tasks to earn power-ups and tickets to buy certain fish. I don’t like how to competition to rank up happens one…right...after…another. I think there should be a break in between so you can play without worrying about losing your rank. Or maybe in between the ranking competition there can be a competition to just earn power-ups and tickets with no worries about losing your rank if you rank low. That’s my only complaint. I also like how even if you don’t beat the level, what you collected in that level still counts towards completing tasks to earn power-ups and tickets. I very much appreciate that, especially when I get stuck on a level. This game is great fun and the themes are great. Do you have a fairy fish because I do not recall every seeing one? If not, you should really consider getting one. I think that would be cool. Keep up the great work! :)
  • Fun, and when you can’t win, stop playing for a while...

I agree with all the previous reviews about how difficult it is to advance without using $$, but I play Fishdom on my phone, iPad and Mac and continue to advance without spending a dime. My secret? Walk away! All game developers want two things - they want to frustrate you so you’ll spend cash and they also want you to continue to play. It’s a fine balance of two conflicting goals, but you can tip that balance in your favor by just not playing for a while when it gets really frustrating. I’m talking a day or two, not a few hours. The game keeps track of your play, of course, and I find that when I’ve stopped playing for a day or so, I win pretty immediately. In those cases, the win is basically a ‘gimme’ - the bombs start dropping into the game and what was a crazy hard game becomes easy to win. In my experience, this is a very reliable pattern. My biggest beef with Fishdom is that it flashes the box for spending diamonds to continue playing right in the playing field and doesn’t allow you to confirm that you want to actually do that. If you are moving quickly in an effort to win, you can accidentally select “continue playing,” and diamonds (if you have enough) are immediately taken from you. As far as I’m concerned, that’s unethical. Bottom line - I enjoy playing Fishdom, but don’t expect it to be anything other than what it is - an effort to get me to spend money. By playing it on my own terms, I nullify that effort and no longer get frustrated when I don’t win quickly. It’s a good feeling :-) And last but not least, Playrix is a Russian company, so any money you spend on their games is going to Russia...
