iPhone X real-estate is not being used. Wallpaper on the sides and still more black space. Consider updating cause this is one of the best games of all time!

Not sure how I even missed this game in the PlayStation days. Great ending, great story, great game play. Brought me back to final fantasy II near the end. (FFIV) They turned materia grinding to gear grinding. Which can get repetitive adding mindless hours of game play, but they did give cheats to hurry it up if you like to.

These people never update and on iPhone X it looks horrible. They should do something.

All the negative reviews are mostly coming from crashes while folks are trying to run this game on old apple equipment (iPad 2)... Read the requirements people. Runs fine with my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6s Plus. Thanks for bringing this game mobile Square Enix!

I have not played FF9 in several years and I am very impressed with how well this iOS version performs. I played on an iPhone 7 and this game works surprisingly well on the mobile platform. The touch screen functionality is as good as you could hope for with the UI being slightly modified for the experience. The game didn’t crash a single time during my 48 hour play through so you can tell it was optimized very nicely. The game also has a handy auto save feature every time you enter a new room which is very convenient if you need to put your phone away on a whim. However I highly recommend to still do manual saves just in case you need them. What more is there to say? FF9 is such an amazing adventure and if you haven’t played it yet then go for it!

I’ve played this game since I was 5th grade. It was more than 15 years ago, but still in love with FF series. I wish they can reamake FFVIII and specially FFX.

I grew up playing this game on the PlayStation. It holds the first place position of my favorite game of all time. I love the music, the story, the graphics, the characters, the leveling system, the skills, the bestiary, etc. The app is great. It has some cheats if you’re into that and a few graphic upgrades but for the most part the game hasn’t changed. 5 of 5 will always play.
  • iPhone X support

The game is fun but looks horrendous on the iPhone X. Please update to a new resolution. When my finger is on the touch pad and slides to the black boarders it kills the movement, which is a major hassle when moving. Thank you.
  • I only have about an hour into the game

Please release a update where doors or paths you can explore are highlighted with a red arrow through settings. An hour in and I’m annoyed with having to wall crawl to find all available paths. The level graphics are horrible because they don’t scale well with today’s displays. So this would be great. A simpler solution then the alternative. Which would be all new assets that support better resolution so things are not so muddy.
