No longer works on any of my devices. Last update was two years ago. Square Enid is really taking advantage of their fan base with their ports. They perform a release, update it to the point it works well enough, and then discontinue support shortly thereafter.

I do not feel like I wasted a single penny. This was on of my first rpgs outside of Zelda and truly shaped my love for the genre. The game plays exactly like the console they even added a few extras like auto save in world map. I have had no issues with crashing freezing or much lag at all. I have seen a lot of reviews on here complaining about the game not auto saving when you lock your phone. I do not see this as a complaint. If they were to add this is would add a cheat that would allow the player to bypass part of the games challenge which is wrong. I agree it can be frustrating but this is not a casual play game while you gf runs into the store real fast. You need to sit down and treat it like a console game and set real time to play so you can find save points when you can. Overall I have no complaints I love it. I wish this app had 5 stars it deserves it.

Amazing port. The menu is even a bit smoother than the original and yes, it does include the Original PS1 score from Uemateu, not the MIDI score from the PC port. The controls are fine, just make sure you’re in analog mode so you have a full 360 degree axis of rotation. There also is a ‘Walk’ button but it must be held down in order for it to work, so I assume the Junon parade will be a bit difficult. Only downside is the bottom half inch or so of the screen has the ‘Encounters On/Off’ and ‘Analog/Digital’ quick buttons on it the ENTIRE game (besides cutscenes). I’d much prefer to have these under the ‘Config’ section of the in-game menu, as I doubt people will constantly wanting to be changing these options. Other than that, this feels great and brings back many memories and I plan on doing another 100% run while I patiently wait for the fabled Remake.

iPhone X real-estate is not being used. Wallpaper on the sides and still more black space. Consider updating!

Like others have said, this port fits older devices. However there has been no support for any of the iPhone X model phones( the actual game is displayed on maybe a quarter of the screen, sandwiched between blue and black bars). Square, please update this and all the other FF ports. You have a loyal fan base!
