  • Must buy!

    By jamogolec
I must say that I didn’t have the highest going into this, because this was my first final fantasy, and first jrpg. The only reason I decided to play it was because I had an itunes gift card. After beating this game, this has become my favorite game ever. The graphics in the cinematics look great, but not in gameplay. The battle system is near perfect, and the story is the best I have ever seen. I loved it so much in fact, that I am going to play all the other final fantasy games. A phenomenal game.
  • Love it but...

Please do an update to maybe stretch the screen a bit for iPhone X support. A lot of wasted screen space with current version.
  • Enormous Saving Problem

    By Rtf32fkgt
Plan on getting stuck playing the game for long stretches, while looking for a save point to avoid replaying very large sections of the game. You will lose your progress if you leave the app for more than a minute or two, and save points can often be very far apart. I think I played the end of Shinra tower section five times over before I carved enough time out of a day to sit down and slog through it again, without using any other features of my phone. Obviously very little thought went into this attempt to make some quick cash.
  • Amazing 😍😍😍😍

I've played the PlayStation version and it is awesome! But I broke it😭!But when I heard it was available on mobile devices,I FREAKED!!!!They transferred it from PlayStation to my IPhone.A few changes in words but the story line is still the same! (Also on my iPhone there is a glitch in the Underwater Reactor. When I get out of a battle it gets dark, like, really dark) Otherwise plz buy this outstanding game by SquareSoft!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
  • Love the game but it needs an update

    By Przfghtr
The game plays in an extreme letterbox that is almost unbearable on the iPhone X. Please update.
  • Ff7 is awesome

    By Dillon244
I never played ff7 on the ps1. I only played it on ios. Its an amazing game. Worth the price. Ive beaten it twice on my phone.
  • Just lazy

    By Yuppimpmobile
I’ve played every Final Fantasy IOS game and this is obviously the worst effort. The game itself is great. And that makes the laziness with which this version was developed that much worse. I wish they’d put the effort into this game that they put into FFIX. Until then, this game in its current form isn’t worth the time. Play any of the other Final Fantasy ports before this one. Edit: I was wrong- about it not being worth the time. The game is spectacular. And again that makes the lack of effort on Square’s Part so much worse. It seems like they knew this game was so popular they didn’t need to polish it for people to buy it. And they’re right, but it’s disrespectful to us and disrespectful to their own masterpiece. This is by far the worst port of arguably the best game.
  • Sound doesn’t work

    Sound doesn’t work on iPad.
  • One of the best RPG games of all time

    By Dnoble37
Wonderful game. Good enough port. I beat the game as a kid 3 times on PS. I have since beat is 3 more on iOS. The game is addicting and is easy to fall in love with the characters. Maybe I’m nostalgic... but IMO it’s the best final fantasy ever made.
  • Nostalgic five star review

I will re-review the game for iPad mini 4 after I have played a significant amount of time
