Description

The Legacy Touch mobile app is a fingerprint imaging application for authorized Legacy Touch funeral home and crematory partners. This application enables users to enroll decedents and capture fingerprint images for use throughout the Legacy Touch suite of applications. Each enrollment record generates a unique PIN which identifies the prints and is used by the families and funeral homes to order personalized fingerprint keepsakes available at LegacyTouch.com.

  • Not compatible with Dark Mode

My phone has been set in dark mode since September... I have to now keep it in light mode in order to read anything in this app. I hope that is addressed in a new update.

If you don’t have natural light then have fun wasting 20 minutes to capture a fingerprint. In the funeral business time is money. And to find natural lighting is to take human remains outside which might not be decent for the family or the body.

Don't waste the time or the money, the prints don't come out well. It needs a shutter button, the company doesn't seem to care though.
  • Good in theory only

Do not waste $15 on this app. It is very difficult to get the camera to capture the fingerprint. We found it faster to use ink and paper to upload prints to the Legacy Touch website.
  • Needs a shutter button

This app would be great with a manual shutter button. Taking a print without can be agonizing. Can take up to 10 minutes per photo when working alone.
  • Great Idea, but...

Great idea, but the photo capture can be difficult to trigger. Even when lined up perfectly, the camera will not usually capture an image without repeatedly trying, adjusting ambient light, or adjusting the led light in settings. A manual shutter button would be very beneficial when you can see a print clearly in focus. In some cases, you can spend 15 - 20 minutes trying to get a print with no result other than frustration. Rehydrating a fingertip can sometimes help - sometimes - but not always. Great concept. Needs work in a practical application.
